The time is upon us once again to start making the official simfiles. I'm not sure how many of us there are that want to work on the officials, but it's always worth asking.

The current songs with useful video/audio (most require NicoVideo accounts to access, but you can find them somewhat desynched and in lesser quality on YouTube, usually):

Mogu2 has uploaded a lot of videos (near the bottom of the page), please use those if possible for ripping BGM or videos as the quality is much better:

Name means the song is being made by this person
Uploaded means song is complete and available in the GDAmania Files section
incomplete means the DTX has been made by someone from this forum or Jinnai BJ but needs editing (sound/video/graphics etc)

Anyone who would like to volunteer to transcribe songs is more than welcome to. I'll put a simfiler's name by whichever songs they choose to transcribe.

SIMFILE FORMAT:
Please use DTX format. Your simfile should have if possible:
- Accurate notecharts. Please double check to see if you have the right notecount.
- Good quality keysounds, with panning if possible.
- AVI video with DivX encoding. It can be ripped and edited in Virtualdubmod
- BGM in mp3 format preferable, 128kbps or higher
- Song preview mp3, 15-30 secs long.
- Preview and stagefile (now loading image). The Photoshop template for the preimage is attached below. stagefile is the same for all songs.
- A comment line: #COMMENT From GuitarFreaks & Drummania V6. DTX by Yourname
- Set.def file, copy and edit one from existing simfiles.
If you need help or don't know how to do any of the stuff above, just ask.
Once you complete a song, please upload to Mediafile. Meow will check it and then upload it to the files section.

Someone from Jinnai BJ has made the encore stage already.
Who wants to be in charge of the graphics department?

My university semester only ends after this week so the earliest I can start work is on next weekend.

If this is not an issue with both of you, I'll reserve Catharsis Garden along with 心の折れたエンジェル when it gets uploaded onto NicoNico or Mogu for that matter.

Not me for the graphics though, I don't think I have the artistic flair and the relevant editing skills to design the preview images and loading stage graphics.

I was thinking to go along with Meow's idea, and since we are definitely short-handed at the moment, we should just grab whatever resources we see to ease our workload.

Both of these DTXs came from JINNAI's board by kuroneko. They have been nicely keysounded so I just added the video and did the basic configurations for the SET files which didn't take up too much time. I kept the preview and loading images done by the author for イジワルなあなた.

風神雲龍伝 - 98 (I have not set the Encore Stage song colour in the SET.def for this)


People over at JINNAI have also completed 君影草, OVER THE LIMIT! and humming rabbit at the time of writing of this post but they are not very well-keysounded (especially 君影草 in which the author mistakes all the cymbals with a ride keysound) so you guys might want to do something about it.

Under The Nest has been uploaded to NicoNico as well, you might want to update the list.

Under The Nest and the other song written in Kanji are both up as videos, HOWEVER they don't have drum charts, only the guitar parts... which doesn't help us much on the DTX (I actually /did/ have both songs on that list until I realized that neither had the drum parts):D I was going to wait until someone uploaded the DM versions before posting their videos.

And now I see I missed another one that had only guitar.

EDIT: Will one of you watch Siren's video and tell me if I'm the only one who thinks that the last kick note before the FIRST encounter with the toms sounds like descending tom notes rather than bass, HT, LT? It sounds like HT, MT, LT to me.
